About us

Welcome to the A-Town Chop Shop axe-throwing lounge social club, where we're sharp enough to make your experience one to remember! Our mythical blend of axe throwing, technology, music, rustic vibes, and funky décor vintage auto art, will transport you to a place of wonderment, excitement, and inspiration. But don't let our old-school aesthetic fool you, for you will be illuminated by the glittering light of our disco ball, adding a touch of glitz and glamour to your rugged lumberjack persona in our Disco Bull Lounge.

Our innovative axe-throwing lounge is the perfect place to blow off some steam, release your inner Paul Bunyan, and maybe even impress your friends with your newfound skills. You must be over 10 years of age to enter the venue and participate, so get your babysitter lined up for date night!

Our team is always on hand to help you perfect your axe-throwing technique, and they're almost as funny as we are. They'll make you feel right at home - as long as your home is a place where you throw sharp objects at targets, that is. Our knowledgeable team of Axe Whisperers will be laser-focused on offering tips and tricks on how to perfect your technique, whether you're a seasoned axe thrower or a first-timer. Plus, our state-of-the-art facilities ensure that you'll have a safe and enjoyable experience every time you step up to the throwing line.

Now, let's talk about the benefits of axe throwing. First of all, it's a great way to relieve stress. Nothing makes you forget about your troubles like hurling an axe at a bullseye. It's like therapy, but with more adrenaline and fewer tears.

And if you're feeling particularly stressed, a group therapy session is the perfect way to bond with your fellow choppers and talk about your deepest, darkest fears (or just complain about your boss). Not only is it a great way to blow off steam and release some pent-up aggression, but it's also a fantastic workout for your arms and core. So why waste your time at the gym when you could be honing your axe-throwing skills and impressing all your friends with your newfound lumberjack prowess? Axes and Yoga? Hmmm.. Make sure to follow us on Instagram!

So what are you waiting for? Come on down to the A-Town Chop Shop and channel your inner lumberjack - grab an axe, and let's boogie! Just remember, we're not responsible for any accidental wood-splitting on the dance floor.

The A-Town Chop Shop was a vision created by the founders of SLO AXE CO. SLO AXE CO is a locally owned and family-operated Axe Throwing business on the Central Coast of California, it was founded in 2020 during the covid pandemic by an adventurously spirited husband and wife combo. Originally intended to be an axe-throwing lounge SLO AXE CO pivoted its strategy and became the first mobile axe-throwing business on the Central Coast of California. Focused on events ranging from festivals, private parties, corporate events/team building, venue partnerships, and fundraisers, scouring the state of California literally delivering an innovative axe-throwing experience to clients in search of lumberjack legends. After 3 years of delivering a unique axe-throwing experience focused on safety, coaching, games, fun vibes, and music, destiny guided the business to beautiful Atascadero, CA resulting in the vision and creation of the A-Town Chop Shop. Striving to be leaders in innovation within the group entertainment activity industry their creative approach has fostered a blending of passions not limited to fun group activities, music, decor, lighting, and vintage art decor resulting in a pretty badass vibe and the perfect spot for some Group Therapy.

The A-Town Chop Shop is designed to create an atmosphere of wonderment and excitement. It is a place for people to foster connection, share laughs, release some tension, build confidence and find encouragement. It is a great place to experience and build positive memories with those you care about while challenging yourself to a really fun activity. Axe throwing is a fun activity for a very broad range of ages and physical abilities.
